With the financial support of the RTRF, the volunteer board and partners at Hastings Destination Trails Inc. have worked collaboratively to create the River Trails Development Plan for non-motorized water trails in Hastings County. With this plan Hastings Destination Trails will be able to map the routes they established and will provide placeholders for the amenities and assets for easy, responsible and safe access and identification for paddlers.
The River Trails Development Plan and materials will be used by the provincial trails organization Ontario Trails Council to assist other communities in developing water trail tourism products. A great project for knowledge transfer within the province.
