OH! Tourism Summit & Annual General Meeting
Join us on Wednesday, November 2 from 12 PM to 3 PM
We look forward to welcoming you back to the OH! Tourism Summit & AGM.
As we continue to recover from the pandemic, OHTO is committed to a responsible tourism approach based on the principles of inclusivity, sustainability, and community alignment. We are applying this approach to not only our development of the destination but also our interactions with our tourism industry.
Stemming from these principles of responsible tourism, OHTO is excited to host the Summit in a hybrid format, giving members more flexibility to attend either virtually, or at 1 of 5 Summit Streaming Sites throughout the region.
This model will give our tourism community more opportunity to reconnect with fellow tourism operators as well as OHTO staff and board members while learning more about OHTO’s path to managing tourism growth across the region and rebuilding a resilient future for our communities.
Through this hybrid approach, we will lessen our impact on the environment by limiting the distance one has to travel with the accessible Summit Streaming Sites, while making the event accessible to all attend through the virtual format.
We are making the Summit more inclusive for all tourism operators to attend, with 5 accessible Summit Streaming Sites or by virtual conference!
Whether you join us in-person or from the comfort of your home, you will have the same excellent opportunities to connect and network with tourism operators, learn from your peers and industry experts, and enjoy interactive experiences. Get the scoop on highlights from this past year and learn about OHTO’s current programs and activities, including our continued commitment towards sustainable tourism.
All those in attendance, both virtually or in-person will have a chance to win prizes from amazing local businesses. Think tasty treats and handmade goods!
Sustainable tourism is a theme at this year’s conference, an approach to tourism that aims at balance prosperity and preservation. Learn from keynote speaker, Dr. Kelsey Johansen, a leader in sustainable recreation and tourism, along with a panel of thought-leaders and trail-blazers in tourism, featuring:
- Kevin Eshkawkogan, Chief Executive Officer of the Indigenous Tourism Association of Ontario
- Michael Rikley-Lancaster, Curator at the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum, the first Rainbow Registered Museum in Canada
- Jenn Burling, Director of Sustainable Tourism Programs at GreenStep Solutions, a leader in sustainable tourism.
Tourism operators will receive first-hand knowledge of OHTO’s journey to becoming a leader in sustainable tourism.
