Canada’s largest annual gathering of sport, tourism professionals and event management firms, Sport Events Congress attracts over 300 delegates each year. Held in the month of April, Sport Events Congress’ flagship element is the popular Sport Events Exchange, a business-to-business events marketplace where events rights holders have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with municipal representatives interested in hosting events in their communities.

Join Bay of Quinte Tourism for this free pre-season workshop, where you'll learn how to grow and maintain your business's online presence before the tourists begin flooding in! This workshop is geared towards small business owners who aren't sure where to start with social media, or who want to expand their existing presence.
Part 1 of this series will offer participants a foundation to begin their journey into social media. They'll talk about target audiences, their favourite simple (and free) tools to maximize your efforts, and the ever-important ENGAGEMENT.
On April 24th-27th, speakers, presenters and participants spent four days in the beautiful Haliburton Highlands sharing their knowledge and expertise as they discussed key issues such as:
What is the economic and social role of the performing arts in rural communities?
How do you engage your community in creating, producing and presenting the performing arts?
How do you celebrate and share place-based culture more broadly?
