OH!Tourism Summit is Fast Approaching: October 2016′s Board Chair Address

The OH!Tourism Summit is right around the corner and we are excited to be heading to Lanark County! I have no doubt that the glorious fall colours will be inspiring all of us as we gather together to learn, network and share ideas about tourism in Ontario’s Highlands.

An incredible two-day program with engaging speakers and thought provoking ideas centered around the new Come Wander brand has been developed under the theme “Small Towns – Big Stories: Using Content to Generate Visitor Engagement in Ontario’s Highlands”. Our host partners – Lanark County Tourism, Valley Heartland CFDC and Lanark County Tourism Association – have been busy planning a fun social evening that will give us all a taste of what Lanark County has to offer (I’ve heard there may even be a little dancing involved?). And, be sure to join the OHTO Board of Directors during the Stakeholder Session on Tuesday afternoon as we raise a glass and toast to the future of tourism in Ontario’s Highlands!

There is still time to register for our region’s only rural tourism conference and be part of the excitement… and we hope you will!

See you at the Summit!

Melissa Marquardt

Chair, OHTO Board of Directors
