Enjoy a #WinterWander in Ontario’s Highlands This Season: January 2016′s Board Chair Address

Now that Mother Nature has finally sent us some snow, we can truly start to enjoy winter in Ontario’s Highlands.

The favourite way for my husband and I to #WinterWander is by jumping on our sleds and exploring some of the remote wilderness that Ontario’s Highlands has to offer. From winding forest trails to abandoned rail beds and wide-open hydro corridors, the variety of terrain over the classic Canadian Shield is endless. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. And the hospitality from snowmobile-friendly operators is top notch.

We are story tellers by human nature, but particularly for those of us in the tourism industry. This is how we showcase our identity, culture and love for the region we are so proud to call home. I encourage you to tag and share your #WinterWander stories and photos of what makes Ontario’s Highlands such a special place for you and your customers.
