Maximize your Membership with Marketing: July 2013 Board Chair Address

Greetings from the Chair!

Welcome to summer!  I know the rainy weather won’t dampen our tourism spirits as we all enjoy welcoming visitors to the beautiful Ontario’s Highlands.

This month, I wanted to take a moment to remind everyone of the value of maximizing your membership with the Ontario’s Highlands Tourism Organization (OHTO) by leveraging available marketing opportunities.  For example, the recent co-promotional opportunity with Ottawa at Home magazine (pictured below – click on the image to see a larger version), the OHTO’s first member co-op advertisement, was incredibly successful.  The Classic Theatre Festival participated in this program and we’ve already seen the results!  Contact the OHTO’s Marketing and Communications Coordinator, Emily Sheff at emily.sheff@ohto.ca for more information on how you can benefit from future co-promotion opportunities with the OHTO.

At the same time, don’t forget to submit your awesome photos of the best of your tourism experiences so the OHTO can better market your business and the region as a whole. Simply go to our member photo outreach page and submit your photos today.

I’d like to wish all our members and industry partners a very successful summer season.  We look forward to hearing all your stories as we build tourism together with the OHTO.

Sincerely,

Laurel Smith
Artistic Producer
