Canada’s First for Performing Arts in Rural Communities!

The OHTO is pleased to announce that Canada’s first 4-day symposium for performing arts in rural communities will take place in the Haliburton Highlands from April 24-27, 2014!  The Symposium for the Performing Arts in Rural Communities (SPARC) is the first attempt in Canada to bring together creators, producers, presenters, and animateurs of theatre, dance, music, and film to discuss the business of performing arts and building place-based culture to develop rural communities.

Proposals are now being sought from arts practitioners and organizations to stage/present sessions at the symposium and the call for proposals is attached below. The deadline for submissions is Friday, August 30, 2013.

More information as it becomes available will be posted to www.sparcperformingarts.com.
